What is freedom? What kind of phenomenon it is? What can we achieve from freedom? a simple word raises several, maybe millions of questions. When a word like freedom comes over my mind, I only imagine what does freedom means. Some say it is a way to express yourself or a way of doing things by yourself. Honestly, the word freedom is like a giant jigsaw puzzle that is hard to solve. It is the hardest jigsaw puzzle of them all.
When I speak about freedom, people have different meanings that seem to be made up. Freedom of Press, freedom of speech, freedom of business, yada yada yada yada. I mean, Are We free to speak for ourselves? Or Does social media gives us the support to free describe ourselves? are our unwanted post are even deleted or not? Nothing can be said. These philosophies don't tell me what is freedom. There are so many possibilities but still, I'm confused about what it is.
In my mind, it feels like the word has no particular meaning of its own. It's like a suggestion box where people add their suggestions one by one. Then it's like a bowl of fortune cookies where people find messages written on the paper inside the cookie. What is written in the paper permits you to do what it says? Freedom is kinda' like a permit to something that is given by nobody but the word itself. When someone says that you are free, then you may think that you are free to do anything you want, whether good, bad, weird, unknown, or whatever the word you describe. It sometimes feels like it says that everything is a usual blah blah!
Nobody can find out what the word itself has to say. It's not the people who are told about freedom. It seems that the word freedom tells all of us that we are not free to do anything in this world. Are we? Good or bad is not in the dictionary of freedom. no such word is available to describe freedom. You may be given what it means or what it says, or maybe you will also be confused. Freedom is an extraordinary word that has no appropriate explanation.
Don't look at me like that? Just tell me what do you think in the comment box below.
